Chris Pizzurro is an acknowledged expert in digital media sales with over 20 years experience in national media strategy, development, marketing, and implementation, with a focus on Linear and Digital media advertising. He spent the last 13 years at Turner Broadcasting effectively growing digital revenue from Fortune 500 advertising clients while maintaining linear, syndication, and merchandising revenue growth. Pizzurro spearheaded new ad units while building the sales teams and back-end systems to support these new revenue streams. He is a Principal in Leap Media Group LLC, which performs media planning and execution for DigitalTV advertising on behalf of mid-size TV agencies, digital agencies, and promotional agencies.  He is also a sales strategy and implementation consultant to business, and has worked with clients such as Time Warner Investments, RipeTV, ZillionTV, Rovi, and InterActivation.

Pizzurro has received an Emmy® Award nomination for the Adult Swim/Axe Deodorant VOD initiative Ravenstoke, as well as a Webby® Award nomination for VeryFunnyAds.com.

He is a featured speaker and panelist at events by: Cable Advertising Bureau (CAB), Cable & Telecommunication Association for Marketing (CTAM), National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Digital Hollywood, iMedia, and ad:tech.  Pizzurro has been quoted in publications including Adweek, Mediaweek, Ad Age, MediaPost, and Broadcasting and Cable.

Pizzurro is Treasurer of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New York chapter (NATAS/NY) as well as a Trustee to NATAS, National. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) and a member of CTAM and CAB On-Demand committees, as well as a member of Standard & Poor’s Society of Industry Leaders.

Prior to consulting, Pizzurro was vice president, partner relations, for Turner Sports and Entertainment Digital Ad Sales. Within this role, he was charged with driving day-to-day collaboration on all digital sales matters with sports league partners, web site general managers, and syndication associates. His work initiated innovative display and video web ads, VOD, iTV, and Mobile ads across all Turner sports and entertainment brands such as NASCAR, PGA, PGATour, and NBA, as well as TBS, TNT, TruTV, CartoonNetwork and AdultSwim.

As vice president, sales manager, for Turner Entertainment Digital Ad Sales, Pizzurro was responsible for launching nine Entertainment broadband networks ad sales businesses and establishing a dedicated digital sales staff while directing integration of digital products into the linear business.

When vice president, multimedia marketing, for Turner Corporate Market Strategy, he held a leadership role in Media at the Millennium?, an initiative cited as a major catalyst for shifting significant dollars from Linear broadcast TV advertising revenue to national cable.

Prior to Turner, Pizzurro founded VisionMedia of NY, which consulted, produced and executed computer based sales presentations for prominent national clients including IBM, American Express, Prodigy, Turner Sports, SportsChannel, Bravo, CMT, and AVR Realty.
