Peter Blacker is Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, and Head of DTC Licensing for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. Blacker oversees the Revenue Strategy and Distribution division, focusing on the commercialization, monetization and distribution of Telemundo content, including direct-to-consumer and emerging platforms. Additionally, he is responsible for partnering with Telemundo’s creative engines (Global Studios, Entertainment, Sports and News), as well as with the NBCU Distribution & Licensing and Peacock teams, to develop monetization opportunities in the U.S. and globally.  Previously, Blacker was EVP, Revenue, Strategy and Innovation. During his tenure at Telemundo Enterprises, Blacker has worked across brands and divisions of NBCU, launching new products ranging from the record-breaking 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Mobile App to the groundbreaking bilingual entertainment show LatinX Now! in partnership with Telemundo sister network E!. He also initiated the company’s first digital distribution initiatives with Hulu, Netflix and Amazon.  Blacker is also an Executive Producer of Telemundo International Studios and works closely with the content development teams within the company, connecting storytelling and technology to maximize the audience and revenue potential of Telemundo intellectual property. He developed the company’s movie studio, FLUENCY, whose award-wining productions have premiered on SyFy, Oxygen, Telemundo and AMC Theaters in the U.S. with additional global distribution. In 2017, pivoting beyond its origins in Hispanic targeted feature films, Blacker led the launch of “Fluency Plus,” a new, bilingual digital production studio with content ranging from entertainment and lifestyle, to food, family, fashion, innovation and more. Formerly Executive Vice President of Digital Media & Emerging Business for NBCU Telemundo Enterprises, Blacker joined Telemundo in 2005. He led the company into the digital media space and launched Telemundo’s first-ever digital, social and mobile efforts. He developed the network’s partnerships with YouTube, Facebook, Microsoft, Yahoo, Televisa, and iTunes. He also launched the company’s live streaming, VOD, EST, AR, VR, and bilingual digital products. With more than 15 years of digital experience, Blacker was previously Vice President, Multicultural & International for AOL Media Networks. There he created AOL’s first marketing, sales and research strategies for the U.S. multicultural market and assisted the development of AOL Latino, AOL Japan and AOL Latin America. A strong believer in the importance of education, Blacker is on the National Board of the Posse Foundation and the Chairman of Posse Miami. He is a graduate of Cornell University and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
