Matthew Kaplan is Senior Vice President of Digital Ad Sales for Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America. In this role, Kaplan is responsible for Univision’s digital sales while developing compelling marketing solutions. Univision’s digital properties include Univision.com, Univision’s social media platforms and apps as well as the Univision Creator Network, the in-house network and creative studio for digital creators. 

Under Kaplan’s leadership, the Digital Ad Sales team has developed new sources of revenue and innovative multiplatform experiences including an extensive expansion of social and branded content solutions.  Kaplanalso spearheads the company’s growing digital video offerings including UNOW, Univision’s OTT product, and social video, such as the Univision channels on YouTube and Facebook Watch.

Prior to Univision, Kaplan served as Vice President of Sales and later as Senior Vice President of Brand Partnerships for DailyMail.com, a leading English-language news website reaching over 225 million unique monthly visitors globally. At DailyMail.com, Kaplan was responsible for developing and growing the company’s U.S. digital ad sales business. He led a team that worked with marketers and agencies to design strategic digital ad sale agendas aimed at the U.S. market.

Kaplan was Chief Revenue Officer at My Damn Channel, an entertainment studio and distributor of premium content, which over the years produced thousands of original videos featuring major stars and emerging artists from television, film and the web. There, Kaplan managed product strategy, marketing and business development aimed at revenue growth. Previously, Kaplan served as Vice President of Digital Media for Alpha Media Group where he managed sales, marketing and ad operations for Maxim.com, Blender.com, Stuffmagazine.com and Fark.com

Kaplan holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University at Albany, SUNY; and a master’s degree in International Management with focus on Latin America from the University of California, San Diego.
