Laurie Shackell is vice president of sports advanced advertising at Turner Sports. Within her role, Shackell is responsible for driving new business development opportunities, in partnership with the sales and marketing teams, across Turner Sports’ social platforms and WarnerMedia sister company, Xandr. Based in New York, she reports to Jon Diament, executive vice president of Turner Sports Ad Sales.  With 15 years of experience at Turner, now WarnerMedia, Shackell plays a pivotal role in aligning the entire sales team with the social needs and business objectives of clients, while embracing and understanding new technology and ways to bring Turner Sports’ massive audience footprint and best-in-class marketing services to market. While creating and executing sales strategy across these platforms, she acts as the sales liaison with Turner’s social and ecommerce teams, league partners (NBA, NCAA, etc.), as well as Launchpad, the company’s audience intelligence practice. Before being elevated to vice president, Shackell held several roles within Turner’s digital and sports portfolios including account executive, senior account executive, and most recently national sales director of social content and distribution, where she managed advertising sales across social media and over-the-top platforms within Turner Sports’ entire portfolio including NBA, MLB, PGA, NCAA, ELEAGUE, UEFA, and Bleacher Report Live. Prior to working for Turner Sports, she worked for Eyeblaster, The Digitlal Edge, The Media Edge, and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners. Shackell is a graduate of Boston College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Turner Sports, a division of WarnerMedia, is an industry leader in the delivery of premium sports content across all multimedia screens.
