An entrepreneur at heart, John Thompson has accumulated over 20 years of experience in brand development, business strategy, and brainstorming technology solutions. He cut his teeth in the corporate world working with Pitney Bowes, GTE/Verizon, and Network Associates before deciding to step out and start KMT Creative Group. With a reputation for developing brand strategies supported by great creative for nearly fifteen years, his firm grabbed the attention of a much larger agency, which purchased KMT.  In 2015 John used his background in consumer behavior and brand development to launch FLX Systems, a technology company focused on providing brands new ways to have an interactive experience with their targeted consumer. FLX’s proprietary Consumer Requested Content (CRC) Technology is designed to work with OTT platforms and allows consumers to interact with the products they see being used in the shows they are watching. John and the FLX team were awarded the Most Innovative Technology Award at the 2016 OTT Executive Summit. John has served on several advertising technology panels and OTT forums and was recently a featured speaker at the 2017 NAB Show.

Today’s consumers are hungrier than ever for relevant product information, but they often lack the patience to read product packaging or spec sheets and engaging them in traditional television advertising is becoming more difficult. The other key is the consumer wants this information on-demand and on their own terms. FLX System’s technology helps retailers and manufacturers overcome these hurdles by delivering informative, educational and entertaining video content to targeted consumers as they shop in retail settings or on-demand when they see products being used on their favorite television shows.
