Gary Schanman is a senior media and telecom executive with over 20 years of experience driving traditional/OTT video, interactive and advertising company innovation. Mr. Schanman has led all aspects of the product value chain; including strategy creation, business development, chief product ownership, design & development, P&L management and operations.  Gary has built multiple innovative ad and subscription-based video, broadband services and products for numerous firms.  Gary Schanman is currently the Founder & President of GB Monday, a Denver-based strategic advisory firm; providing C-Level advisory services to Media, Telecom & Tech companies. GB Monday provides actionable business strategy and product development execution assistance to software, hardware, advertising, content network, OTT services and broadband companies.Most recently, Gary was the SVP of Video Products for Charter Communications.  In his role, Gary oversaw the strategy, development and management of Charter's rapidly evolving, 15M+ subscriber Spectrum video and advertising product portfolio across all platforms and drove significant innovations including the launch of its numerous OTT packages, cloud-based DVR, streaming device applications and cloud-based next-gen user interface.  Mr. Schanman also served on the Board of InDemand and was Co-Chair of the Advanced TV Council for CTAM.  Gary currently sits on the Syracuse University Newhouse School Advisory BoardPrior to this role, Mr. Schanman served as SVP, Strategy, Revenue Management and Operations for Cablevision Media Sales – responsible for strategy, finance, operations and marketing for the $250M advertising sales division, including inventory optimization its household programmatic advertising platform.Before, Gary served in numerous roles at Cablevision, including SVP, Video Products as well as SVP, Broadband and Voice Product Management. At Cablevision, Mr. Schanman played a major role in developing and managing some of the industry’s most innovative products such as the first MVPD Service IP Application; the first Cloud DVR; award winning advanced advertising platforms, Optimum WiFi hot spot expansion and numerous interactive services, including Optimum Classifieds. Mr. Schanman also served at VP, of Advertising and Interactive Commerce at Comcast, responsible for the company’s advanced advertising strategy. Mr Schanman worked at PwC as an Entertainment, Media Strategy Consultant, was Director, Product Management for iWon.com [Currently part of IAC] and worked as VP, Digital Marketing & Commerce at Cablevision. Mr. Schanman began his career in advertising as an account manager for Young & Rubicam and Ogilvy & Mather.  Mr. Schanman holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Finance and Advertising from Syracuse University.
