Jim Elayan
Jim Elayan brings 18 years of Cable TV and telecommunications experience as well as creative cross-industry marketing and business development experience to itaas. In 1991, Jim joined Scientific - Atlanta in launching one of the earliest multimedia experiences widely available through cable TV, Digital Music Express (DMX). This led to a marketing role in the launch of video games through cable TV via the Sega Channel. Though these experiences were several years ago, they helped set the stage for many of the subsequent interactive platforms possible through the advanced digital networks being utilized today.
Jim left S-A in 2002 to participate in a series of private equity-funded company transactions and served as Vice President of Marketing for firms both in and out of the telecommunications industry. At this time, he started a small marketing and business development consulting practice that specializes in leveraging web-based resources for lead generation and business growth. Interactive marketing and the emergence of social networking venues, as well as the convergence of web content and traditional CATV media, made Jim start thinking about the next wave of opportunities for interactivity via digital networks.
Therefore, in 2008, Jim returned to the industry with itaas. As the VP of Marketing and Business Development at itaas, he works to develop interactive solutions with customers across a host of software and hardware platforms. This includes working from concept to launch on identifying key consumer appeal points, GUIs, technical viability and ROI analysis for a plethora of interactive applications.
Jim received his MBA from Emory (Goizueta) Business School and lives with his wife, Krista, and their four children in Athens, GA.
