David McElhatten, who joined ActiveVideo Networks in 2011, is responsible for the company?s studio and professional services group, advancing CloudTV?s application tool sets and working with customers toward the innovation of their content vision. A veteran of more than 20 years in interactive media and home entertainment, McElhatten has helped numerous major content providers and brand marketers to capitalize on continued technological evolution.
McElhatten pioneered laser optical disc design work with Universal Studios and his own firm, Image Access, before moving on to the Royal Philips Electronics organization, where he rose to president of Philips Media Games. After serving as an independent executive producer and consultant to such companies as Time Warner, Marvel Comics, Handheld Entertainment and others, McElhatten joined Vidiom Systems as vice president for business and product development of the company?s tru2way solutions. McElhatten later was managing director of Osmosys, a provider of open standard interactive television solutions, and most recently had been a digital media consultant driving key strategic initiatives for ActiveVideo, THX and IDG. He is the principal inventor of record for U.S. Patent No. 7,073,189, covering Network Based Digital Entertainment Delivery Systems.
A graduate of Allegheny College, McElhatten holds a B.A. in Communications.
