In her role as CEO, she has secured $20M from private equity investors, established exclusive content agreements with leading game suppliers and global brands, and has filed eight patents covering key proprietary technologies for delivering interactive content under the TAG brand. A strategic planner, veteran marketer and business visionary, Ms. Verma has extensive experience in the video game industry, including Midway Games, Panasonic Interactive Media, Psygnosis (a Sony Company), Atari, Capcom, Data East Europe and Data East USA.

Chloe Sladden works closely with Twitter’s broadcast, publishing, entertainment and online media partners––from MTV, CNN and ESPN to The Huffington Post, NBCOlympics.com, CBS Interactive and NYTimes.com––to help them harness Twitter to create new approaches to content creation, news reporting, interactivity and audience engagement, both online and on-air.

Before Twitter, Chloe was VP of Strategic Partnerships at Current TV, a pioneering, Emmy-winning 60MM household TV network and online news site. She was responsible for creating programming and partnerships that cracked the code on compelling, scalable interactive TV. She produced the Webby Award-winning Hack the Debate as well as Current Diggs the Election and Current Twitters the Inauguration––efforts that press described as “perhaps the most radical attempt yet to merge television with the Internet.”

Previously, Chloe advised the executive leadership of major media conglomerates, worked with pioneering new media start-ups and navigated the highs and lows of documentary filmmaking. She was a management consultant in Booz Allen Hamilton's (now Booz & Company) media and entertainment practice, where she counseled film studios, book publishers, TV networks and record companies. She also co-produced/directed “Headstrong,” a documentary broadcast on public television.

Abe McCallum is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Clikthrough Inc. Prior to Clikthrough, McCallum was a senior business development manager at EarthLink/PeoplePC, where he focused on developing strategic partnerships to increase customer acquisitions through key verticals. Prior to EarthLink, Mr. McCallum was the Founder and VP of Business Development/Product Management for Coinspinner Systems, a company building online fan communities for some of the world’s biggest celebrities. His experience drove him to concept the business model, design the entire product roadmap, and develop the partnerships with strategic partner artists for Clikthrough. Mr. McCallum holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

 

Bruno Uzzan

Bruno Uzzan has been driving the growth of Total Immersion since 1999 – from start?up to the company’s current position of global category leader. As a pioneer and AR visionary, he has led Total Immersion’s global expansion and built the company’s client roster with blue chip accounts that include Disney, McDonald’s, Mattel, Twentieth Century Fox and Nissan Motors. He also is responsible for developing strategic alliances, bringing his vision for the potential of next gen AR to these relationships. Before establishing Total Immersion, Uzzan served as a consultant for Pierre Henri Scacchi and Associates (Price Waterhouse Group). He holds a masters degree in management from the University of Paris Dauphine.

Babak Maghfourian

Babak Maghfourian, a true hypervideo innovator, has 26 years of experience in tech development and marketing. He began his career at age 16 at the Paris Institute for Computing where he taught graphics and game design in French and German. He moved to Canada in 1984 to graduate from St. Michaels University where he wrote ‘Dam Buster Attack’ a video game for Apple II and Philips game consoles.

Throughout his schooling he developed numerous ground breaking and profitable interactive video CD-Roms for University of Victoria where he studied computer science. He completed his studies as an industrial engineer at British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1992, specializing in industry optimization. In 1996 he founded Avalanche Multimedia developing various innovative eCommerce stores and online music portals in the web 1.0 space. He then founded VideoClix in 1999 to pioneer advanced hypervideo (clickable video) for use in commercial, educational and military applications. Today VideoClix is the official clickable video vendor for companies such as MTV, ESPN and Dailymotion. Babak is the main driving force behind VideoClix and closely oversees all aspects of the operation including business and tech development as well as marketing.

Alexander Marquez

Alexander Marquez is currently responsible for Intel Capital’s investments and strategies related to Digital Media.

Prior to joining Intel Capital, Alexander served as technical advisor to the senior vice president of Intel’s Interactive Media Services division where he advised on strategy and media investments.  Alexander also served as controller for Intel’s Content Services division where he oversaw financial aspects of the division, including numerous investments in Europe, Japan, Asia, and Latin America.  Alexander joined Intel Corporation in 1994 where he held various management roles prior to joining Intel Capital.  Alexander holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he was the past Chairman of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board.  He received his Masters in Business Administration from Purdue University.

Alexander has managed or co-managed investments around the globe including Atom Entertainment (acquired by Viacom), Akella, BlackArrow, ChannelM (acquired by PlayNetwork), Gametrust (acquired by Real Networks), Envivio, Exent Technologies, K2 Network, Trymedia (acquired by Macrovision), The Generations Network (Nasdaq: ACOM), SixApart, and Synacor.  Alexander currently serves on the board of directors of BlackArrow, Envivio, K2 Network, SixApart and Synacor.  In addition, Alexander currently serves as an advisor to Gamestop Corporation and Vector Entertainment.  Alexander is also a member of the NVCA Corporate Venture Group Advisory Board.
